Bradley Challis, 24, from Lodge Road in Braintree, Essex, was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a child under 13 and making and distributing indecent images of children. The most horrific aspect involved entering a child's bedroom, placing his finger in the boy's mouth, and capturing indecent images while the victim slept.

Essex Police investigation revealed Challis's creation and sharing of abuse material, exploiting the vulnerability of a sleeping child. The offence demonstrated a calculated breach of trust and safety within a domestic setting.

Sentenced in July 2017 at Chelmsford Crown Court, the case highlighted the devastating impact of intra-familial or close-contact abuse, with Challis's actions leading to severe psychological harm for the victim.
