Full Description

Zephon Allen, aged 28, from Wilmington Close in Watford, Hertfordshire, has been sentenced to 19 years' imprisonment following his conviction for multiple serious sexual offences. The case, investigated by Hertfordshire Constabulary, centred on attacks against three women, highlighting Allen's predatory behaviour in targeting vulnerable individuals.

Allen was found guilty at St Albans Crown Court on 20 March 2025 of three counts of rape and one count of digital penetration. The offences took place between 2021 and 2022 across several locations in Hertfordshire, including Bishop’s Stortford, Hemel Hempstead, and Watford. According to court proceedings, Allen deliberately built relationships with his victims before carrying out the assaults, many of which occurred when the women were asleep or semi-conscious, underscoring the non-consensual nature of the acts.

Following his conviction, Allen was remanded in custody and appeared for sentencing at St Albans Crown Court on 21 July 2025. The judge imposed a 19-year custodial sentence, reflecting the severity of the crimes and the lasting impact on the victims. Hertfordshire Constabulary's investigator, Gary Jackets, described Allen as 'a dangerous predator who deserves to be behind bars', noting how he 'purposely targeted his three victims, building relationships with them before committing these offences'.

The victims demonstrated remarkable courage by providing evidence in court, reliving traumatic events that have had a profound and enduring effect on their lives. Their testimony was crucial in securing the conviction, as emphasised by the police investigation team. This case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of reporting sexual offences, with Hertfordshire Constabulary affirming their commitment to supporting victims and pursuing justice against perpetrators.
